deep beneath the city lies a network of old rail tunnels. the rails are disused now and trains sit idly on the tracks, like mighty steel creatures. old rubbish and litter from the humans are scattered messily on the ground. the tunnels are pitch black, with only the smallest bit of light seeping in from cracks and holes in the roof. rats and other vermin scurry the tunnels, great for a quick snack if you can catch them. there are rumours that an old water pipe has burst in one of the tunnel intersections, creating a small underground ‘lake’. it may not be much, but it’s one of the few sources of water in this land.
