DEAD FOREST

once a vast forest, thick with trees, plants and animals, the dead forest has become dry and barren. the ground is covered in a thin layer of dry, yellow grass and tall, branchless trees rise into the sky, naked and bare. there are no rivers here and very little prey - if lucky, you may stumble upon a deer and if unlucky, a bear. the air feels strange and everything is still and eerily quiet, as if the spirits of the dead wander the land...
