Appearance: Having nearly dominated the feline family's top big cat, Simfilan is quite a big kitty, coming in at over nine feet and weighing over 500 pounds. He has a tawny pelt through and through save for his gigantic mane that spreads not only over his neck and chest, but also covering his shoulders, back forelegs, and under belly all the way until meeting his loins, the long fur growing darker into a deep brown and an eventual solid black. More compact in build than the other lion species, Simfilan's body structure is slightly different: his snout is narrower, his body more dense. The end of Simfilan's tawny tail is topped with several inches of brown fluff. His eyes are a deep amber equipped with the best of night vision and a picture of cat clarity, his paws expansive with sheathed daggers, his pads seemingly impenetrable. His curved ears emerge from his mass of a mane visibly, if not dark and shadowy. His teeth are in good condition, although they are starting to yellow at their bases.

Personality: Simfilan is a reserved creature, keeping to himself most times. He prefers to allow others to talk while he sits in wait in the background. Despite his silence, his presence is rarely missed thanks to his size and aura that seeps intelligence and power. More observant individuals can pick up on the subliminal melancholy that is ever present, but his words and demeanor betray the pain in his heart. He is an intelligent being, as most felines are said to be, but not quite as blindingly courageous as humans played lions out to be. Truth be told, Simfilan could care less about honour or earning his red badge of courage. Rather, he chases a goal still not tangible, but just as endearing: intellect. Simfilan is a creature that has learned well in life, due both to experience as well as simple insightful conversations with other beings. He thrives on knowledge and, for that reason, does well to avoid fights (but do not be deceived: as a young cub, he was well taught in battling skills.) He tends to have a lion's trust at most times, and is not exactly a good judge of character since he tries to believe in the best in others.
